The General makes general statements in your post--not backed up by any data. He thinks things have improved for minorites, but they still have a ways to go to achieve the vision of MLK. That, IMHO, is his opinion as the statement doesn't refer to anything in the way of data base for support.

He is entitled to his opinion, but let's not turn it into anything more than it is its face--his opinion.

I wish Powell had his "facts" handy went he went to the UN and stated that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. .
