TORONTO, June 3 /CNW/ - SouthernEra Resources Limited (SUF-TSE) today responded to rumors concerning the dispute over the mineral rights to the M-1 diamond pipe on the farm Marsfontein by stating that a meeting is currently being arranged with the South African Minister of Minerals & Energy and the Company and that no decision had been announced concerning the Company's request for expropriation of the mineral rights. Comments relating to demands made by De Beers regarding terms of a settlement reflect a negotiating position by De Beers and were reported to have been rejected by the Company in earlier discussions. Dr. Chris Jennings, President of the Company will host a conference call at 2:00 p.m. Toronto time today to discuss the status of the dispute and to update interested parties in the progress of the Company's exploration and development projects.
