Paul - According to a Compaq spokesperson, the chipsets are Intel - and were developed (or modified) by Intel specifically for the blades program. Compaq has not said a lot about the specifics of their first product, but based on the specs - it is a 512MB max memory configuration, 1P - it is probably a modified 815. But the description Compaq gave for the more advanced 2P and 4P blades - ECC, etc, and 2GB or 4GB memory space - specifically called out the Intel 440 chipsets.
