IDT scanners in cell phones? Randy mentioned Motorola in the last conference call.

"Fingerprint scanners can provide the authentication component of the triumvirate of key security, encryption and authentication." This sounds like the cellular phone application may bypass digital certificates from another vendor and use the fingerprint as the public key, the key for encryption and authentication of the user.

I believe that IDX is working with IDT to make the IDT scanner resistant to false finger defeats.

Again Digital Persona's URU appears to be our main remaining competition on a feature basis. Fortunately we are much cheaper than them and price will be VERY important for inclusion in cellular phones.
