frankw, It was not my intent to disrespect the black people, but said what I did, because people like Jackson, and Sharpton, are making a big noise about the black citizens not getting relief. No body is getting relief, so why should the try to make race a factor?
New Orleans is unique in it's ethnicity. Before political correctness, they called them selves blacks, mulattos, quadroons, and octaroons, to indicate the percentage of white blood they had, or visa versa. And, the people of all the races in the city, had come together with mutual respect for each other.
What I meant, is that race is not an issue in NO, and the troublemakers should keep their mouthes shut. There, probably, are white people and hispanics that are also looting, but no one is making an issue of it. I feel for all of the people of NO regardless of race or creed, but cannot condone looting, or rioting to further damage what nature has already done. |
