Thomas, Imagine that the Feds had, as the hurricane was approaching, usurped control of the Mayor and Governor and forced the evacuations and established Martial Law before the disaster. Results - much better reaction and lower causulties, but tons of lawsuits by outraged Democrats Local Governments have responsibilities. Citizens have responsibilities and yes so do the Feds. A discussion later will have to be had on how to preposition and deploy troops, police, supplies etc after a Domestic disaster. John
