You are talking about apples and oranges here. Is your friend working on a GSM system or a US TDMA system? If he is working for ATT Wireless then he's on a US TDMA system and so what is the point in your talking about (trashing) GSM? GSM works and I thought we were all understood that. Anecdotal stories don't change the underlying facts, and the market will have both flavors (3 actually, counting US TDMA) and the consumers will decide based mostly on price, footprint and bundling of services. Not technology. I don't know any phone that would survive a 10 story fall, and I doubt most consumers would expect it to. Long on QCOM. FB
