GDI PROBLEMS
Have you noticed a shift in your fonts or other display problems when the Norton Internet Security add-in to Norton SystemWorks turns back a hacker's attempt to infiltrate your PC?

Sometimes when the NIS System Tray Globe icon turns red to alert you of an attempted intrusion, it causes a leak in Windows Graphics Display Interface (GDI) resources. If GDI resources are already low, this can cause Norton SystemWorks to crash or your PC to shut down.

This is not a direct result of the hacker's interference; Norton has already turned aside that threat. This is the result of a bug in Norton SystemWorks Tray Manager that allocates memory blocks but doesn't release them.

The fix is to run click the LiveUpdate button on the Norton SystemWorks 2001 main screen and download an update of Norton SystemWorks containing a patch that fixes this bug.
