Jake, How many of us have an (AGI) adjusted gross income (income after deductions) of more than $200,000 ($250,000 for joint-filers).

Everybody will, and much sooner than you think, from inflation caused by all the monetization of debt. Remember the Alternative Minimum Tax that would only tax the rich with a lot deductions? Now most middle class families are up against the limit and Congress has to give them an exemption every year.
