Off topic -- economics

Gee economics is so easy ...

I took an economics course in first-year university and found it quite difficult. The class was first thing on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the professor, who we nicknamed Nytol, would drone on and on endlessly in a monotone which put us to sleep. This was the challenge of Economics: Keeping awake! The subject material was easy, and yes, little or no homework was required. Another bonus, the entire class passed, and with good marks.

Economics is the study of maximizing the utility of scarce resources. Our class received great marks for little effort: I'd say we learned a 'real-world' lesson.

I've heard it said that if an investor spend fifteen minutes looking at economics, they'd have wasted a quarter hour.

Cheers, PW.
