[Sumimoto and others]
<<< Who will be the "system integrator" in Europe to market AMTX manufactored products not just licensed products?>>>
Of course, I've been hearing lots about Siemens lately, even to numbers of lines they're likely to order, but it's too soon to get excited about that. Analysts can do it, but not SI contributors. :)
<<< Who is the system integrator who will sell to them? NEC/Sumitomo or a US company(s)?>>>
Let's toss some possibilites around. I recall Peter Taylor of NEC/Australia saying they'd love to get into the N.A. market. I was a bit shocked and asked how that would work with NEC/N.A? He said they'd co-operate. There's also NEC/N.A., as long as we're going with global companies. How about AT&T? Are they an integrator? What's Nortel? They're demonstrating Amati's Overture 8 in Las Vegas tomorrow, so I know they're working together. Maybe we should start asking questions in that direction.
I believe we have alot more pieces to the puzzle than we realize. MCI, GTE, MSFT, Nortel, TI, NEC. . . are all out-spokenly in favor of Amati's technology so who are they most likely to work with? And let's not eliminate Alcatel so quickly. JS definitely said Amati would be doing more than licensing with them.
I don't have any answers, but I plan to do some more research later tonight. Time to take a break.
Cheers!
Pat
