Sorry, but your analogy is not apt.

For Disney to act as unethically as AOL they would have to:

1) Charge everyone full admission BEFORE they enter the parks, then
2) Allow only some fortunate few to actually enter the park, leaving the rest standing outside, looking in.
3) Kick people out of the park if they appeared to be resting.
4) ALL the above while advertising heavily, knowing all the time they cannot hope to cope with the crowds who will be left standing.

Disney sells admission to its parks and limits attendance. If you are sold a ticket you're in.* AND there is ALWAYS alternative entertainment when particular areas are crowded.

BTW, last year I purchased annual passes at WDW for $186 inclusive of tax (FL res rate and stkholder). Actually spent one week there last year and the better part of two weeks last month. About $9/day/adult.

Of course the Wilderness Lodge at $200/day/room took some of the economy out (usually I can manage a 30-40% discount but not this year - @100% booked). All in all you can't find a comparable vacation value anywhere else in the world!
