I have serious doubts about that statement for this year. Many people have predicted that 1997 is the year of ADSL. I feel that is premature. What is needed to get this sector cooking is real deployment from the ISPs and telcos to businesses and neighborhoods, not contract announcements. Contract announcements will most definitely push a stock higher, but in order for a continuous upward movement the stuff has to be deployed. Thats when xDSL vendors can start counting the money in the bank. Just my 2 cents.
