ZipInsider, clik!
Admittedly, there are other alternatives to Iomega products. To some, any other product than Iomega may appear vastly superior. When was the last time you saw an ad on TV for SyQuest or Imation? Off the top of my head, I can recall three and almost repeat them verbatim. We live in a television based society, and when Joe Blow looking for a computer sees an ad for Best Buy offering a Zip insider (that he may or may not have seen during the superbowl) for $99, somebody is going to talk him into it. Sure, other possibilities may be brought up, but he's seen Iomega and he's seen the Zip drive. Advertising can make or break a product. Very few computers are being bought by hardcore technology junkies who have done their homework and haven't gone with Iomega for one reason or another. With the popularity of PDA's and palmtop PCs, unless someone else comes along with a viable storage solution, clik! is going to have a stranglehold on the market.
