Don't leave out Maryland joining Duke in choking in the woman's division. UConn (home team here in CT) caught a big break avoiding Duke in the Final Four but they promptly lost to LSU (whose long home winning streak they broke earlier in the season) tonight.

Compare the UConn woman's coach, Geno Auriemma, to Roy Williams. Back when the UConn woman's team was blowing out their Big East competition by 30+ points a game, I recall coach Auriemma being asked what he tells his team at half time when they are up by 20. He said he tells them there is no reason why they shouldn't win by at least 40.

The point being I can't understand why a coach would tell their kids to go into the equivalent of a prevent defense in football: slow the pace down, take time off the shot clock, and wait for the perfect shot. But that's what it looks like NC did against Georgetown. I give Roy all the credit in the world for his recruiting, getting kids prepared, etc. but I've never seen a coach so blatantly bad managing big games.

LSU kept coming at UConn even with a Kansas size lead midway in the second half. I give them credit. Oh well.
