Yep, I was just wondering how my friend could be so convinced that her brother had purchased his new iPad legally in China with no agreement in place yet.

I have to believe he somehow got in on the grey market and was unaware. Maybe he bought it at one of those fake Apple Stores that have been cropping up. :-)
