I do not apply a "double standard" to the US. I apply the highest standard I know, because the US is the leader of free world and acclaimed home of freedom and democracy. If we are not to expect high standards from the US, where can we expect it from? Re No position to pass judgement - Excuse me, mister. If some Americans who have never been in the Middle East their whole lives can pass judgement on that part of the world on this website, I am more than qualified to have an opinion on America, a land I have visited numerous times, whose language I am fluent in, and whose culture I have more than a bit of insight into. Plus, I really dont like effete, know it all, eurotrash snobs. Like anyone gives a hoot what you like...
