I personally know several people who voted straight party line for the democrats as 'punishment' for the republicans over the attempted coup via show trial. Charles, you might be in for a rude awakening if you think an impeachment inquiry is a "show trial". The record shows that Clinton lied under oath. Now that the politics of the election cycle is behind us, Mr. Hyde quietly but firmly is pursuing the truth. Btw, Mr. Hyde got re-elected to House membership easily. Clinton has succeeded in dragging this out until Americans grew frustrated and angry over it, but they are blaming Republicans, when it is Clinton who has single-handedly dragged it out with incessant stone-walling, phony claims of executive privilige, ludicrous denials, and the like. Nevertheless, the quest for the truth goes on. If Clinton again attempts to turn it into a lying circus, he will be facing an additional charge of impeachment: "attempting to usurp the authority of Congress". Just like Nixon.
