I am very pessimistic about the stock market. I also think that extremely high inflation is ahead. Softtechie, I see you are very pessimistic too based on your 100% short portfolio! I sold my entire portfolio a couple days ago, since it looks like a short-term high was hit. I gained 61% for the year vs. -9% S&P, 0% Russell2k, and -2% Dow. Also, the year is about over for me (May 31 FY), so I want to move on to better opportunities. My new portfolio is going to use the same method, but I'm also going to have a 50% short portion. My biggest play will be a buy on HGMCY, a gold mining company. I think either way the market goes gold is finally ready to go up after about 30 years of being stagnant. I'll mention my full portfolio after I do additional research on them. I may sell or buy a few more before I solidify my new picks. PS Techie, no offense, but you blanket your board with so many articles that its hard to see any conversation. If you copied & pasted all the articles you find into one big post each day, then I think it would be a lot more organized.
