> The police never make mistakes...

Well I don't agree with that. They often make mistakes. Its obvious that Ashl Babbit made a HUGE mistake though... it clearly wasn't the first mistake she made... CLEARLY... it wasn't the first time she threw a fit/tantrum because she didn't get her way.

In my opinion she forced that cop to do something, he warned her, I'm quite sure he didn't want to shoot her else he would have before she stupidly tried to climb through a window. The cops clearly were restrained in their actions. This was an attempted coup. IMO they would have been within their rights to shoot any of the violent nazis who initiated violence and would not obey lawful orders.

I've been in demonstrations. My dad (a colonel) demonstrated against Vietnam.

But I've never failed to obey an order from a cop in a demonstration. That's downright stupid.

BECAUSE I'll come back and demonstrate another day. I'm attempting to persuade others not demanding I get my way.

I find Ashli Babbitt to be a pathetic figure who made numerous poor choices in her life and lashed out at others believing her pathetic situation (her many pathetic situations) was someone else's fault. I mean I look at people like her with both sympathy and wariness... she's a dangerous type of person. She's a person who thinks violence is a justifiable way to get her way in life, just like in cowboy movies violence is her #1 solution. But she's pathetic. She has no wisdom, doesn't ever think about wisdom. There are many in our society, so many I've made numerous changes in my life to protect myself from them. Number one is I try to stay away from them. The other changes are mine to know and theirs to wonder.

I find my sympathy going towards a good cop, with what WAS an easy job. One who undoubtedly feels terrible about having to shoot her.

My take on cops is most of them want to "do good"... many of them find out they are less than useless, see corruption among the drug cops and anti-prostitution cops and become jaded dealing with drunk spouses which is their primary job.

"The Wire" got it right.
