Actually, I recall you expressing skepticism on those marathon Ace's Hardware threads, too. Your name should be added to that list (and probably a few others as well - not me, I didn't know enough).

Nobody had the conviction of Scumbria, though. I remember a chorus coming back at you three, convincingly claiming inside confirmation of decent IPC for P4 on X86 code. Such claims were, of course, impossible to refute by anyone without a system to benchmark - there really wasn't anything to say, but that didn't stop Scumbria from from continuing to broadcast his conclusions!

And, of course, it turned out that you three were absolutely correct in your analyses.
