Bill, I normally support stock buybacks but unfortunately Cohu missed the golden opportunity back in September. The $8 or more per share in cash at that time could have been used to retire a significant portion of the outstanding shares and also prevent the share price from falling as dramatically as it did. Even using only half of their excess cash would have retired a significant amount of stock. We'd be able to have a 3 for 1 stock split now if they had done that then. Cohu Sr. Mgmt. executes so well on most things but they really need to focus on things which get the share price in line with its intrinsic value. Share buybacks at the right time and analyst coverage are two areas they just have never focused on. Hopefully going forward they can be proactive on "both" points.
