Newflash: the semi industry is in the doldrums, there isn't any demand for more FABs to run legacy processes.

I'm sure that's news to the Intel's legacy fabs who are churning out chipsets, military contracts, and embedded semiconductors. Again, check out facts, and stop making ASSumptions.

Check out the book to bill ratio the past two months.

Using that "logic" there is no demand for new process technology, and only demand for legacy processes... as the equipment makers are the ones reporting the abysmal BtB's.
