1) How does a VIA bid "set up a Vulcan buyout"? and their bid was turned down. It would be fine with me if someone went hostile. and 2) If, hypothetically, someone were to bid $14 for S3 and buy it, and then proceed to break it up for sale at a total value beyond that bid, good for them. A belief that there's value in this company beyond what's reflected in the share price is what has most of us here. I'd be happy to take the premium you indicate now and let the buyer worry about the execution risk in the many pieces. 3) On another subject: the current issue of Red Herring has a good review of the Rio 500.
