That's basically what I said. A claim that DOD was selling propaganda is extremely simplistic. In a free society with a free press, a gov't cannot sell propaganda with the willing, knowing cooperation of the media.

Does anyone actually believe Hollywood had NO IDEA what it was doing with all those films made during WW2 showing brave, selfless American soldiers and evil, nasty, brutal Germans and Japanese?
