Jeff : Even I used to feel that the "not doing the homework" attribute was not applicable to people investing in individual stocks. I thought it was the "exclusive preserve" of those who invest through mutual funds! Like when Van Wagoner chalked up 60% plus gains over a few months last year and a lot of people got in after that. But after his funds got clobbered recently, I believe that in one of his meetings, a woman investor tried to physically assault him! :-) Surely, those who invest in individual stocks ought to do better than that?! Dipy.
