First of all, there are very few moderate Rs left; secondly they are very weak and its taken them this long to speak up and lastly, there are some very deep divisions in this country. People are very unwilling to focus on those divisions.....they want to sweep it under the table............and the two party system seems to strengthen those divisions. I hate to admit it but I think the Euros have the better approach........a multi party system that forces compromise.
