Dave,“Intel's portfolio doesn't add that much shareholder value at this time.” Well, we are in a bear market and I think lots of folks are hurting such as those luckless AMD investors even while Jerry does extremely well peddling his options. In a year’s time, maybe, the pot will be much sweeter. Hey, markets go down and then they go up. Ain’t investing fun! As of March 31, 2001, the total carrying value of the Intel Capital portfolio included approximately $48 million of net unrealized appreciation on the marketable equity securities.
