You need to ask this of long time stock investors like Glenn or
others on this thread. I was strictly a mutual fund investor until
March of this year when I found SI and other investing tools.

There was one in the Semis last June-July. Like Emile says, they rotate
the sectors.

The key point is this. Do your in depth research to determine if a
company is sound - ASND is. Then you can recognize these "sales" when
they occur - you'll know when you see "minor" issues being blown up
to major proportions. They sure jumped on that 8K in July and the 56K
issue in Q2 to bring the stock down.

That $0.02 sure scared a lot of people - just like they wanted.
Sure ASND could miss the Qtr a little due to the Europe regulatory issue,
but have any Revs been lost? Has the feared "golden dagger" of CSCO
done any harm at all? Not in the NTT case. CSCO is behind the curve
in RAS and they are running scared. Their new GSR doesn't even come out
until December at the earliest - so you know this is just fear tactics.
Wait for evidence they actually are making inroads - and that won't be
until mid '98.

Bang the drums, shake the tree and all these "gift" shares fall to
the ground - pick up a few and you will be rewarded.
