I just saw this weekend that Congress is working with an 8% rise in spending instead of Bush43's 4%. This even after the outline for taxes, and tax cuts, had been agreed to. In a perfect world we should pay off the national debt. But Bush43 is right, if you leave money on the table it will be spent.
