pigboy, sorry 4 the delayed response. I suppose we should all stay flexible in our definition/interpretation. A helpful view may be that since the 'gigaclass' & 'teraclass' are still emerging market categories, we have yet to see the full extent of features, speeds, prices, interfaces, ect... that will differentiate the service/performance levels btw. each. With few exceptions the products are announced but not available. I would look to our own OCR-8000 vs Aranea, which should provide a good example of the market positioning & product differentiation that evolves.
There seems to be plenty of room for upside growth b4 a CSCO/LU/ect... do any takeover. The fat part of the growth curve is ahead yet. The speed at which new optical startups r emerging & executives r taking positions in such, should give us a hint at the 'excitement' yet to be played out. Hey, as Jack & Greg have pointed out, most if not all, of these guys will become, or r, MRV customers. We seem to be in all the 'hot areas' and soon we get new higher margin revenue generators, ie... wireless traffic driver, OCR-8000 on line. If Noam delivers on the 'shareholder value' portion of his comments we will all benefit.
