For small potatos like you and me, the financial institutions will let us sink if we can not pay
out debts, because the impact of our failures will be just too small to the society. However, for companies like IBM, Crysler, GM, do you think the US government will let them sink ?
I do not think so, since the failure of those giants will have too big of impact to the society.
So the free enterprise you talked about is not a real one, it is selecitive. The same thing to Asian countries. Think it this way, if Tailand, Indonesia, Korea, Malasia, Philipines all
sink, then Japan will sink absolutely, because Japan export quite a lot to those countries and
has a lot of investiments in those countries. If Japan sink, so will China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. and then US, Europe all sink. So we can not afford to have those South East Asian countries sink, and your free enterprise theory do not hold in this case !!!!!
