Right. McCain comes off as desperate which is what he is. He's rather the clown prince of the bail-out and the 'I won't debate unless the bail-out is completed' circus.

After the Palin circus, he doesn't need more of the same.

Obama needed to come off as a credible President given that most people do not know him. He accomplished that which takes out McCain's last remaining objection.
