Who has lined up to support Hammer? Do you remember Sanders plea about a 2 years ago to develop software for Hammer? Still no takers. No doubt AMD will claim Intel is threatening developers. What other possible reason could there be? Just because Itanium is here now in the form of Merced and venders have already had time to evaluate McKinley silicon is no advantage. After all, an AMD vapor bird in the bush is worth 2 Itaniums in the hand. Right? EP
