And, if so, is the America of 2008 ready to receive it?<< Just imagine that what has happened to Bear Stearns over the past week, happens to all of your investments and that the Dollar declines 5% a month for a year (that's 40% in a year). Or, imagine that the BSC haircut of 97% happens twice. Imagine that we are a nation that is much more "even". Who would be the better leader, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, or John McCain? Obama is right, right now and for the period ahead, regardless of whether this threat materializes. Our financial crisis is much worse and much more meaningful than the losses we suffered on 9/11/2001. I still think Saddam Hussein has had the last laugh, over the "kid" who drew the line in the sand over U.N. inspections.
