Hi Paul, I see that several AMD executives sold stock before their announcement.

A couple of months ago, I spent an hour scrutinizing Intel executives' stock sales to see if I could identify any pattern. The only pattern I saw was that they seem to be pretty clean.

Here's the impression I had developed by looking at the filings (about 3 months ago):
- Barrett seems to sell at the same time (systematic)

- Andy B is more random, the transactions reported indicate that he didn't sell stock just prior to a bad time (e.g. he didn't sell in Aug-00), but he seems to sell at times when the market is too high (e.g. he sold some around April-00, so I made a note to myself to consider selling a little bit of stock when it's reported that Bryant sells stock.) He seems to be a very clean stock seller.

- Meanwhile, a bunch of AMD executives sold their stock in Aug-00, just prior to the big, bad announcement.

- There was only one (according to this report) Intel exec (a newer one) that sold his stock in Aug-00 (not good)

Regards,
Amy J
