Bob:

IMHO, AOL has significant problems. The settlement with the state AG's does not affect the class action lawsuit's that have been and will be filed. I know of one of the attorney's that is suing AOL, Steve Berman, of Seattle's Berman & Hagen's. This guy is an aggressive class action attorney who gets his teeth into a suit and won't let go until he gets his fee (I'm cynical, but I'm an attorney too, so I get to get my digs in). AOL's problems will not go away, but I'm not sure when it will make a difference in the stock price, hency my interest in April PUTS. March might be soon enough but maybe not. The Feb. date is clearly coming too soon. Suggest you take a look at the thread at:

Subject 11857

As of Friday's close, per Lombard, AOL PUTS were:

Apr. 30 PUT: 1 « x 1 3/4 (166/2478) [vol/open interest]

Apr. 32 « PUT: 2 3/8 x 2 3/4 (130/781)

Apr. 27 « PUT: 1 x 1 1/8 (10/524)

Apr. 25 PUT: 0 x 11 16 (0/1539)

I'm partial to the 30's myself. Not too terribly far out of the money and yet high enough that the risk won't keep me up all night chewing my fingers to the nub. The volume and open interest is decent as well.
