It's a good question and I suspect too soon to tell. At this point in time I'm impressed with how rapidly they (NEC for HKT) want to deploy. They're actually pressing for VDSL which isn't even ready yet and won't be till late '97 or early '98, and even then in limited quantities. Currently ADSL shipments are beginning. Will the government control what goes over those high-speed pipes? Possibly. They'll have state-of-the art highways and not too many on and off ramps.
