As a rule, doesn't a climbing M-2 equate well for both Stocks (short term) as well as Commodities? If you tend to agree then that would allow us both to be happy.

However it would not appear that the Broad Dollar Index would do well in light of a slowing economy.

Wouldn't you say? As I recall from the Fed minutes the other day, the Fed appears to believe the economy will continue to lose steam.
