Don't see your point. Guilty is guilty, why should money preclude trial?
You brought up the point that only the rich can afford a "fair defense."

In this particular trial, which involves hush money to the amount of six digits, it's reasonable to assume that the defendant can afford some pretty good legal counsel.

On the other hand, this is the tRuMpInAtOr we're talking about, so his lawyers are probably more adept at creating distractions, delays, and procedural roadblocks than actually mounting any significant legal defense.

No matter what, it's going to be a complete circus.

And the tRuMpInAtOr wouldn't have it any other way.
