Thank you for your excellent post, which I found very informative. It's always good to stand back and think about the "big" picture when you see something like this happening. It's also useful to use our experience to see the results of similar "plays".
I was lucky enough to buy some shares at 5 in the pre-market. After the runup to 13, I started trying to sell when it was "passing through" the 11's, and finally sold at 10 1/2. Later, I bought a smaller amount at 9 7/8, and was planning on holding for the gap up on Friday.
However, after reading this thread on Wednesday evening, and thinking about the company, AND seeing the aftermarket at 15, I sold my position at 15.
Quite a day - both my major trades were outside market hours.
I will start thinking short at 10:00 on Friday.
