This is a must-read classic.

Paul Provencher. 1953. I Live in the Woods: A Book of Personal Recollections and Woodland Lore. Fredericton: Brunswick Press Ltd., pp.68-70. Illustrations by Paul Provencher.

PP was a Quebec Game Warden for most of his life. The book is a treasury of practical advice on camping and wilderness survival.

"Prospector North of Sixty" by Ted Nagle? is a good one about the discovery of Pine Point Pb-Zn mine in the NWT.

PROSPECTOR: North of Sixty. Author: Nagle, Ted; Jordan Zinovich.. Published by Lone Pine (?1989). Edmonton. "The story of Ted Nagle's life is rich in anecdote, adventure and intrigue ...on canoe, on foot, and then by bush plane, Nagle recorded the personalities and events ...reflecting the natural and social history north of 60 degrees in the first third of this century". NEAR FINE (minor wear, no defects). Will ship under 1 kg. No additional printings. Softcover. 286 pages: maps, photos; 22cm. Footnotes, Index.. Quantity available: 1.

Some books on the Yukon I have read I will have to look up.

"The Klondike Stampede", by Tappan Adney is considered by many to be a great book.
