Mitch,

I don't see sales of I2O hardware and software starting
until mid-1998 at the earliest. Once the ramp up starts,
however it appears to me that I2O should do pretty well in
mid-range to high-range server markets. I don't have an opinion
if I2O will move into desktop PCs. I think is a little to early
to tell.

BTW, Another market for I2O appears to be in the signal
processing area. As PCI replaces VME in this market, some
hardware vendors are turning to I2O to provide a common
interface for RTOSes to talk to I/O processor boards.

As far as NC's go, the important issue right now has very
little to do with hardware and operating systems. The question is simply where are the applications to run on NCs? Until
there are real applications like word processors, spreadsheets,
graphics programs, etc., NC are pretty useless.
