I have no problem with the logic of your trade. The only point I'd quibble with is that virtually all of the Regional funds have virtually no Thai stocks in their portfolio. Most of them are heavily weighted in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. As such, it would not make much sense for someone who favors the Thai market to sell his holdings in TC or TTF and buy TDF or any of the other Regionals. The three markets mentioned above have all done very well this year while the Thai market has been wasted. The other markets in the area that have been treated poorly (i.e. Malayasia, Singapore and Indonesia) also have virtually no significant representation in the Regional funds that I know of. I guess the closest thing to a hedge would be to buy the Malaysia or Singapore Webs.
