AUSTIN, TX, and TORONTO, ON, Feb. 11 /CNW/ - Bankline, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SLM Software Inc, announced that Llano National Bank of Llano, Texas has signed a long-term agreement to use Bankline's core banking system, MicroSOLV(R), as well as teller system and data center services. Llano National Bank will gain branch automation capabilities and centralized control across its branch network.
SLM is a leading global provider of electronic financial service
solutions for the e-commerce market. Its U.S. subsidiary, Bankline, is a leading developer and provider of client-server software and data processing services including imaging, ATM processing, and Internet banking for community financial institutions nationwide. Llano National Bank is a $48 million bank located in the Texas Hill Country 75 miles northwest of Austin, with two branches in Llano and a branch at Lake Buchanan.
David Willmann, president of Llano National Bank said his institution selected Bankline because of its technology. ''The Windows-based system is much easier to use,'' Willmann said. ''Also, the technology is more adaptable.'' Willmann also likes that MicroSOLV provides the potential to go in-house eventually. ''We wouldn't be reconverting,'' he added. Attentive, personal service was also part of the decision to choose Bankline. ''We have dealt with Bankline's people before and have always received exceptional service,'' said Willmann. ''We know them and we know they'll always do what's right for us.'' ''With community banks, relationships count for a great deal,'' said John Felchak, executive vice president, Southwest Market. Mike Meyer, vice president and manager for Bankline's Austin data center added it was the combination of personal relationships and MicroSOLV that made the difference between Bankline and another provider. ''We showed them our products, services, and capabilities, and they were eager to move forward,'' Meyer said.
''MicroSOLV is a true client-server system that meets the future direction of the bank.''
