How does what Clinton did have anything at all to do with the GOP?? Did the GOP make him do all those things??
As I stated in my first post, there is incontrovertible evidence that Mr. Clinton perjured himself under oath. By not voting articles of impeachment, how can a Congressman say that he/she is upholding their own sworn oath to uphold, protect, and defend the Constitution? They (Clinton apologists) typically use the rhetoric of "this does not rise to the level of impeachment." That is of course a legitimate position if they wish to take it, but IMHO, it is wrong and unreasonable to take that position for the reason I just stated. Another tactic used is "he is still subject to criminal prosecution once he leaves office." Well, inherent in that statement is an acknowledgement that the charges are in fact worthy of prosecution in the first place. Since the crimes occurred while Mr. Clinton was President, there is only one remedy: impeachment, trial, and, if convicted, removal from office. |
