KO may be pricy but look at the figures:
94 $.99
95 $1.19
96e $1.40
97e $1.65
but the kicker: 67% of revenues and 80% of operating profits(according
to PaineWebber in their Dec 17 Portfolio Manager's Spotlight).
It is a great way to profit on world demagraphics of emergin middle class.
It is also a great way to devirsify a portfolio since it is more international
than US even though it is based here. There are even many markets
in the US in which they are underepresented(on a per-capita basis) and they are trying to grow those. Add in new drinks: their Mountain Dew
competitor and it looks like it should remain a core holding in any long
term investor's portfolio. I am not sure buying now is smart but I would
wait to sell.
