Well it seems pretty clear to me that those Christian Science Monitor types are just a bunch of puritanical spoilsports. Do they not know that is our God-given right to consume energy in ever-increasing quantities for whatever ridiculous applications strike our fancy? I suppose they'd have us living in mud huts or like the Amish if they had their way. Eat, drink and be merry! Who cares if we are driving towards a brick wall at 80 miles per hour? We haven't hit it yet...so everything's just peachy! I must retire now for a bath in my 3,000 gallon bathtub and get a little distraction on my 142" digital TV. Garcon! More champagne!
