NY Academy of Science event Nov29. Anyone planning to attend or listen to it, probably should read this paper, which will make it easier to follow.

"The Zinc Dyshomeostasis Hypothesis of Alzheimer’s Disease"

One of he speakers, Dan Tardiff, was first name on the list of credits for this landmark paper from the Whitehead Institute. There, led by Susan Lindquist, they used a yeast model developed to test for resistance to Alzheimers type toxicity. They randomly tested 200,000 prospective compounds, and metal ionophores emerged as most neuroprotective. This is his paper. I would love to hear him speak, but cannot be there. I can't see yet if it is going to be recorded.
