A Letter to the Editor
In Alberta, discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation has always been a thorn in the side of the provincial legislature. Recently the Supreme Court has ordered Alberta to comply with Federal Law and enshrine non-discrimination against homosexuals in Provincial Law. The following letter is typical of the response the bigoted and narrow minded think is appropriate. I wonder how these people can even write letters. The editor is however, very clear.

Reprinted from The Calgary Sun
Has anyone thought about the implications
of the Supreme Court ruling. Do you realize if a
qualified teacher who in his "spare" time was a
pedophile, in the Supreme Courts infinite wisdom
that person could not be "discriminated" against ?
He would have a legal right to remain in that
position and could promote his lifestyle (as long
as he didn't practice it) in the school. Think about it.

(No, pedophilia is a criminal act)
